Wichita Man Sentenced to 7.5 Years for Bank Robbery
A brazen bank robbery that took place in Wichita, Kansas in 2014 has resulted in a significant prison sentence for the perpetrator. Myron T. Markham, a 31-year-old Wichita resident, was sentenced to 90 months in federal prison for his role in the crime.
According to court documents, Markham robbed the Fidelity Bank at 100 E. English in Wichita on March 12, 2014. He fled the scene, discarding his sweatshirt and hat along the way, and caught a bus to his brother’s house.
The investigation into the crime was a collaborative effort between the Wichita Police Department, the FBI, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Hart.
U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom commended the agencies involved in the case for their hard work and dedication to bringing Markham to justice.
