A federal grand jury in Columbia, South Carolina, has returned an indictment against David Lawrence Wallace, Jr., charging him with Solicitation to Commit Hobbs Act Armed Robbery.
The indictment, handed down by the United States Attorney’s Office in the District of South Carolina, alleges that Wallace solicited someone to commit a Hobbs Act Armed Robbery. The maximum penalty for the crime is 10 years imprisonment.
The case was investigated by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney M. Derrick McClellan of the Florence office.
United States Attorney Bill Nettles stated that all charges in the indictment are merely accusations, and that Wallace is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Wallace is currently being held accountable for his alleged actions, and the prosecution is committed to ensuring that justice is served.
