Nine years in the slammer for Nicole Daedone, the ruthless founder of the San Francisco-based sexual wellness education company OneTaste, Inc.
A federal jury in Brooklyn convicted Daedone, 51, of forced labor conspiracy in June 2025, following a five-week trial. Today, United States District Judge Diane Gujarati sentenced Daedone to 9 years in prison for her role in the scheme.
The courtroom drama marks the latest chapter in the downfall of OneTaste, which was once touted as a revolutionary platform for sexual wellness and education. But behind the glossy facade, a dark web of exploitation and abuse was unfolding.
Co-defendant Rachel Cherwitz, OneTaste’s former Head of Sales, received a 78-month sentence for her role in the forced labor conspiracy. The 37-year-old New York resident was also convicted by the federal jury in June 2025.
The court imposed a $12 million forfeiture money judgment against Daedone, and awarded $887,877.64 in restitution to seven victims of Daedone and Cherwitz. The staggering financial penalties are a small consequence for the suffering inflicted on the victims, who were subjected to forced labor and exploitation by the OneTaste executives.
Prosecutors alleged that Daedone and Cherwitz used coercive tactics to control and manipulate the victims, who were forced to work long hours for little or no pay. The victims were also subjected to emotional and psychological abuse, as well as physical punishment.
OneTaste’s downfall serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of unchecked corporate power and the importance of accountability in the face of exploitation and abuse. The Grimy Times will continue to follow this story and provide updates as more information becomes available.
The case highlights the need for greater transparency and oversight in the sex industry, where exploitation and abuse can easily go unchecked. As the victims of OneTaste’s forced labor conspiracy begin to rebuild their lives, they can take comfort in knowing that justice has been served.
But for Daedone and Cherwitz, the consequences of their actions will be severe. As they begin their prison sentences, they will have ample time to reflect on the harm they caused and the lives they ruined.
