Noly Hermoso Ilarde, Wire Fraud, California 2026

San Diego, CA – In a shocking case of charity scamming, Noly Hermoso Ilarde, 57, pleaded guilty in federal court to wire fraud conspiracy charges. Ilarde and his co-conspirator, Martin Jose Rebollo Jr., 58, created a sham charity called ‘Chula Vista Fast Pitch,’ which was supposed to provide support for youth softball activities. Instead, they pocketed millions of dollars in donations meant for the charity.

Ilarde and Rebollo applied to work concessions at Petco Park and Snapdragon Stadium, where they were selected to provide unpaid volunteers in exchange for 10 percent of sales going to their charity. However, the pair paid each volunteer around $50 in cash per event and then divided the remaining money between themselves.

According to the plea agreement, Ilarde and Rebollo’s fake charity received approximately $3.5 million in payments from Delaware North, the hospitality management company in charge of concessions at Petco Park. They also received over $250,000 in payments from Aztec Shops, the non-profit in charge of concessions at Snapdragon Stadium.

Ilarde admitted to gaining over $550,000 from the scheme, while Rebollo’s gain is estimated to be greater than $1.5 million. Rebollo pleaded guilty to wire fraud conspiracy, filing a false tax return, and social security fraud in December 2025.

The defendants did not pay any funds to the Chula Vista Fast Pitch charity, and no funds were used for any youth softball activities or other charitable or non-profit purposes. This case was prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorneys Jeffrey D. Hill.

The investigation was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, IRS Criminal Investigation, and Social Security Administration – Office of the Inspector General.

Noly Hermoso Ilarde is scheduled to be sentenced, and Martin Jose Rebollo Jr. is set to be sentenced on June 5, 2026.
