Tamara Ricceri-Wolf, 60, of Omaha, Nebraska, was a financial manager with a secret: she was scamming her employer out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Between 2018 and December 2022, Ricceri-Wolf used her position to open American Express credit cards in the company’s name and make personal purchases, then paid off the balances with company funds. The scheme, which involved approximately 106 unauthorized payments totaling at least $538,428.26, was uncovered by an FBI investigation.
Riccieri-Wolf’s actions were a clear case of wire fraud, and she faced the consequences on July 8, 2026, when she was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison. In addition to her prison term, Ricceri-Wolf was ordered to pay $635,935.05 in restitution to her former employer.
The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher, who also ordered Ricceri-Wolf to serve a three-year term of supervised release following her prison term. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which uncovered the extent of Ricceri-Wolf’s scheme and brought her to justice.
Riccieri-Wolf’s case is a reminder that financial crimes can have serious consequences, and that those who engage in such activities will be held accountable. The FBI and other law enforcement agencies are committed to investigating and prosecuting these types of crimes, and to protecting the public from those who would seek to exploit and deceive.
