Oscar Alejandro Perez-Gomez, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Idaho 2024

BOISE, Idaho – A large-scale Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation has resulted in the federal indictments of ten Magic Valley defendants on drug trafficking charges, U.S. Attorney Josh Hurwit announced today.

According to the indictments, Oscar Alejandro Perez-Gomez, 32, of Jerome, was indicted for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, five counts of distribution of methamphetamine, and one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

The investigation, which began in 2023, led to the seizure of over 30 pounds of methamphetamine and the arrest of ten additional defendants in Idaho state courts for their actions connected to the conspiracy.

Oscar Alejandro Perez-Gomez faces a mandatory minimum prison sentence of up to 20 years to life in federal prison if convicted.

The investigation was conducted by the Idaho State Police, the DEA, and other local law enforcement agencies in the Magic Valley area.

The goal of the investigation was to disrupt and dismantle the large-scale methamphetamine trafficking operation.
