Corderrius Terrelle McShane, a 38-year-old Pensacola resident, has entered a guilty plea in federal court for distributing over 40 grams of fentanyl and possession of a firearm. The revelation came from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida, led by John P. Heekin.
According to U.S. Attorney Heekin, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and federal ATF and DEA agents played pivotal roles in apprehending this dangerous individual. McShane distributed 55.6 grams of fentanyl in November 2024. During a traffic stop that month, officers found an additional 230 grams of fentanyl and a firearm.
McShane’s prior felony convictions include Possession of a Weapon or Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, Resisting Law Enforcement with Violence, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He now faces up to life imprisonment, along with a lifetime of supervision upon release.
The joint investigation involved the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, ATF, and DEA. Assistant United States Attorney Jessica S. Etherton is prosecuting the case. Sentencing is set for December 4, 2025, in Pensacola before Judge T. Kent Wetherell, II.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative targeting drug traffickers and violent crime. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida is one of 94 offices dedicated to ensuring public safety under the Department of Justice’s direction.
