CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – In a major blow to Philadelphia’s illicit drug trade, three West Virginia residents have been unmasked and have pleaded guilty to their roles in a ruthless drug trafficking organization.
Jordan Spadafore, 33, of Morgantown; Stephanie Miller, 47, from Charleston; and Olivia Gibson, 21, of Ona, each admitted their guilt this week. They were part of an operation that funneled vast quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine into North Central West Virginia, according to court documents.
The kingpin of this operation, Rodney Johnson, 46, from Philadelphia, is alleged to have supplied these dangerous drugs in significant amounts to Monongalia County. Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda Wesley is the lead prosecutor for the government in this case.
This investigation was a joint effort by the Mon Metro Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative. The task force’s composition includes the FBI, ATF, DEA, West Virginia State Police, and numerous local law enforcement agencies from across the region.
Operating under the banner of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation, these agencies have identified, disrupted, and dismantled some of the most dangerous criminal organizations threatening the United States. For more information on OCDETF, visit their official website.
The cases were presided over by U.S. Magistrate Michael John Aloi.
