Jamar Perminter, a 26-year-old Pittsburgh resident, has been sentenced to 46 months in prison for violating federal firearm and narcotics laws. On July 31, 2025, law enforcement executed search warrants on Perminter’s person, residence, and vehicles, uncovering a loaded pistol, dozens of bricks of fentanyl and heroin, and $84,000 in cash. Perminter, a previously convicted felon, was found to be in possession of a firearm and ammunition, a federal offense.
The search warrants were the result of an investigation led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in collaboration with the Stowe Township Police Department, McKees Rocks Police Department, and Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.
