James King, Marijuana Possession with Intent to Distribute, United States Virgin Islands 2025

Four men were caught bringing over 70 kilograms of marijuana to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, on November 27, 2025, when they arrived at Cyril E. King airport from San Francisco, CA. James King, Masaca Creque, Dwayne Blash, and Harry Davis were identified as the owners of the luggage containing the marijuana and were escorted to the Customs and Border Protection offices for further inspection. The motive behind the smuggling attempt is unclear, but the outcome was severe: the four men were sentenced to prison time for their roles in the crime.

James King, 46, of St. Thomas, was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment and three years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Masaca Creque, 41, of St. Thomas, received a sentence of 37 months incarceration with 3 years of supervised release for conspiring to possess and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Dwayne Blash, 42, of St. Thomas, was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment and three years of supervised release for conspiring to possess with intent to distribute marijuana. Harry Davis, 29, of Atlanta, GA, received a sentence of 22 months incarceration with 3 years of supervised release for conspiring to possess and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

The case was investigated jointly by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Homeland Security Investigations, and Drug Enforcement Administration, and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Cherrisse Amaro, Erik Tate, and Criminal Chief Kyle Payne.
