Kimberly Deshay Hill, Cocaine Possession with Intent to Distribute, Louisiana 2026

⏱ 2 min read

A 52-year-old Hammond woman, Kimberly Deshay Hill, was indicted for possessing 29.8 pounds of cocaine with intent to distribute after a traffic stop on I-10 in Calcasieu Parish. The stop occurred on March 31, 2026, when a deputy from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office CAT Unit pulled Hill over for a traffic violation. Hill had no valid driver’s license, an unrestrained child in the car, and gave conflicting statements about her travel plans, raising suspicions.

A K-9 unit alerted to narcotics, and a subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered twelve kilogram-sized packages of cocaine. Hill now faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and up to life in federal prison for the charges.

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), led by Special Agent Matthew Moon, and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Lauren Sarver. The indictment was returned by a federal grand jury in Lafayette on June 17, 2026.

Hill’s indictment is a significant blow to cocaine distribution in the region. The large quantity of cocaine seized suggests a major trafficking operation, and Hill’s arrest may lead to further investigations and arrests.
