Charles White, a 34-year-old Jefferson Parish resident, was involved in a cocaine distribution organization that caught the attention of law enforcement in June 2022. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) launched a joint investigation, using controlled purchases of cocaine to gather evidence. White believed he was selling to a legitimate buyer, but in reality, it was an intermediary working with the authorities. The investigation led to White’s guilty plea for conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
White’s case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney André Jones of the Narcotics Unit. The sentence, handed down by U.S. District Judge Nannette Jolivette Brown on March 12, 2026, included time served, three years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment fee.
The DEA and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office worked together to bring White to justice, demonstrating the effectiveness of collaborative law enforcement efforts in combating drug distribution organizations.
