JASHANPREET SINGH, the founder of the notorious Punjabi Devils Motorcycle Club, has been swept into federal custody after being charged with firearms offenses including the unlawful possession of a machine gun. The 26-year-old Lodi resident faces serious charges after authorities allege he attempted to sell several weapons, including assault rifles and conversion devices, to an undercover officer.
Singh’s gang, associated with the Hells Angels, has been under scrutiny for years. According to court documents, Singh was on June 6, 2025, when he was caught attempting to peddle a variety of firearms, leading to a search of his residence where additional weapons were found.
Among the seized items were two machine guns, three conversion devices, a silencer, an unregistered short-barreled rifle, and even what law enforcement believes to be a military “claymore” mine. The Explosives Ordinance Detail of the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department destroyed these items at the scene.
Singh was originally facing state charges in San Joaquin County until he skipped bail and fled to India, only to be intercepted by authorities before his departure from the San Francisco International Airport. He remains in federal custody.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America and Project Safe Neighborhoods, two initiatives aimed at eliminating transnational criminal organizations and reducing gun violence across the nation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Alex Cárdenas and Adrian Kinsella are now prosecuting Singh, who faces a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
Although Singh is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, his swift apprehension and federal charges signal the government’s commitment to cracking down on organized crime and gang activity that threatens communities across California.
