Quondall D. Davis, Sex Trafficking of Minors, New York 2019

A sex trafficking ring in Rochester, New York, has been dismantled, and one of its key players, Quondall D. Davis, has been charged.

According to a complaint filed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Melissa M. Marangola, Davis, 24, known as ‘Hot Dog,’ was arrested and charged with sex trafficking of a minor and sex trafficking of an adult by force.

The charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life.

The investigation, led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, identified three minor victims and one adult victim who have been involved in prostitution activities with Davis.

Investigators learned that Davis would place ads on websites, including backpage.com, and use his Facebook account to contact the girls. He would then have them picked up by a driver, and the girls would give half of the profits to Davis.

The complaint further states that the girls would have sex with different guys in order to receive heroin, which they would then give to Davis in exchange for not receiving any money.

Davis made an initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Marian W. Payson and is being held pending a detention hearing on April 11, 2019.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and Davis is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
