Rai Johnson Pleads Guilty to Felon in Possession of Firearms Charge
BUFFALO, N.Y.
Rai Johnson, a 35-year-old Buffalo man, has pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, announced U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr.
Johnson was previously convicted of a felony violation of the Clean Air Act relating to the Kensington Towers matter.
On December 23, 2014, Johnson possessed firearms, namely, one Mossberg, Model 500A, 12 gauge shotgun and one Brazilian, CBC, .22 caliber rifle.
In addition, the defendant had multiple rounds of ammunition.
The plea is the culmination of an investigation on the part of Special Agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, under the direction of Special Agent-In-Charge Delano A. Reid, New York Field Division.
Sentencing is scheduled for August 17, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
