Rochester Man Pleads Guilty to Gun and Drug Charges
A 38-year-old man from Greece, NY, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of crack cocaine and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. Ramon Perdomo, of Greece, NY, pleaded guilty before Chief U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York.
The charges carry a minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of 40 years, and a $5,000,000 fine. Perdomo was arrested on April 20, 2018, after law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at his residence at 164 Sheraton Drive in the Town of Greece. During the search, officers found approximately 80 grams of crack cocaine, 42 grams of powder cocaine, and $238,237 United States currency, which consisted of proceeds from the defendant’s cocaine drug sales.
The investigation was led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Ray Donovan, Special Agent-in-Charge, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the Monroe County Heroin Task Force, the Rochester Police Department, the Gates Police Department, and the Monroe County DA’s Office, under the direction of District Attorney Sandra Doorley.
Perdomo was on probation at the time of his arrest for a prior felony conviction. Sentencing is scheduled for March 11, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. before Chief Judge Geraci. The defendant has forfeited over $230,000 of drug proceeds as part of his plea agreement.
