A former Logan County resident secretly recorded a woman engaged in sexually explicit conduct in her home, charges revealed.
Randall Dwight Holden II, 33, pleaded guilty to a federal wiretapping charge in a hearing. According to court documents, the crime took place on November 25, 2017.
The video was later uploaded to the internet without the victim’s knowledge. The video was one of several secretly recorded videos that Holden had created and posted online depicting the victim.
United States Attorney Will Thompson made the announcement and commended the investigative work of the West Virginia State Police – Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
United States District Judge Irene C. Berger presided over the hearing. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Rada Herrald is prosecuting the case.
Holden faces up to five years in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on June 2, 2022.
