A chilling case of child exploitation has come to light in Northeast Ohio, with two men facing severe consequences for their heinous crimes. Randall S. Allman, 38, of Strongsville, and Shawn M. Kadras, 34, of Cleveland, were both sentenced to prison time after pleading guilty to two counts of inducing a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of that conduct.
According to the indictment, Allman and Kadras did indeed persuade, induce, entice and coerce a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct on two occasions in February 2013. This appalling act of exploitation has left many wondering how such crimes can occur in our communities.
Assistant United States Attorney Michael A. Sulivan led the prosecution of this case, which was the result of a thorough investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Safe Streets Task Force and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office. Sulivan’s efforts have brought closure to the victim and their family, and serve as a reminder of the harsh penalties for those who commit such crimes.
Kadras was sentenced to 110 months in prison, while Allman received a 97-month sentence. These severe penalties are a testament to the gravity of the crimes committed and the need for swift justice.
The case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of protecting our children from exploitation. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that such crimes are prevented and those who commit them are held accountable.
As we reflect on this case, we are reminded of the tireless efforts of law enforcement agencies and prosecutors who work tirelessly to bring justice to victims of exploitation. Their dedication to protecting our communities is truly commendable.
Let this case serve as a warning to those who would exploit our children: the consequences are severe and long-lasting. Grimy Times will continue to shine a light on such cases, working to ensure that those who commit such crimes are held accountable.
