A Tickfaw man will spend the next five years behind bars for distributing cocaine and fentanyl in Louisiana, according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office announcement.
Randevois Ingram, 28, was sentenced to 60 months imprisonment in federal prison following his conviction for distribution of cocaine and fentanyl, a federal crime.
U.S. Chief Judge Shelly D. Dick handed down the sentence in the case, which was brought to light by a confidential source working under the direction of the Drug Enforcement Administration and Department of Homeland Security – Homeland Security Investigations.
Between May 2, 2024, and June 27, 2024, Ingram distributed controlled substances containing cocaine and fentanyl to the source, according to admissions made as part of his guilty plea.
The investigation, which was led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Department of Homeland Security – Homeland Security Investigations, and Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, was part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF).
Under the supervision of Assistant United States Attorney Paul L. Pugliese, the case was prosecuted. The OCDETF program identifies, disrupts, and dismantles the highest-level criminal organizations that threaten the United States using a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach.
Ingram will also serve four years of supervised release following his term of imprisonment. The case is a stark reminder of the ongoing threat of fentanyl distribution in Louisiana and the importance of law enforcement’s efforts to combat the issue.
