A federal judge has handed down an eight-year prison sentence to Randy Lee Eicher, of Erie, Pennsylvania, for violating federal laws
Eicher was convicted of receiving and distributing images and videos depicting prepubescent minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
According to the United States Attorney, the offense occurred from September 2018 to December 2018, and Eicher has been ordered to make restitution in the amount of $18,000 and pay a special assessment in the amount of $5,200.
United States District Judge Susan Paradise Baxter imposed the sentence on Eicher, following the guilty verdict.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Assistant United States Attorney Christian A. Trabold prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.
