Rapid City Man Escapes Justice
Floyd Bullman, a 40-year-old Rapid City man, has pleaded guilty to a charge of escape.
According to prosecutors, Bullman failed to return to Community Alternatives of the Black Hills on November 5, 2012, where he was serving part of a federal sentence.
The U.S. Marshals Service conducted the investigation, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Kelderman is prosecuting the case.
The maximum penalty upon conviction is 5 years’ imprisonment and/or a $250,000 fine.
Bullman appeared before Chief U.S. District Judge Jeffrey L. Viken on March 8, 2013, and entered his guilty plea.
A presentence investigation has been ordered, and Bullman was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending sentencing. He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 8, 2013.
