Sharon Resident Convicted of Cocaine Trafficking and Firearm Crimes

PITTSBURGH, PA – Raymond Briskey, 38, of Sharon, Pennsylvania, has been convicted of cocaine trafficking and firearm crimes, United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan announced today.

Briskey pled guilty before United States District Judge Joy Flowers Conti to possessing with intent to distribute cocaine and cocaine base on October 21, 2020, and to possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime on that date.

The guilty plea was part of an investigation led by the Mercer County Drug Task Force, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence, and making our neighborhoods safer for everyone.

Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller is prosecuting this case on behalf of the United States.

Judge Conti scheduled sentencing to occur on April 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.

The conviction is a significant blow to those involved in the illicit cocaine trade in our region. We will continue to work tirelessly to dismantle these operations and bring those responsible to justice.
