HARRISBURG – A Philadelphia man is facing serious charges after being accused of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

According to the indictment, Razeek Carwheel, 39, of Philadelphia, was in possession of a Smith and Wesson, .45 caliber handgun, and 20 rounds of .45 caliber ammunition on November 22, 2020, in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.

As a previously convicted felon, Carwheel is prohibited from possessing firearms. The investigation was conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott R. Ford is prosecuting the case.
