Reading Man Charged with Child Pornography
David James Csanyi, a 46-year-old man from Reading, Pennsylvania, has been charged with transporting and receiving child pornography, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger.
According to the indictment, Csanyi could face a maximum possible sentence of thirty years incarceration and a mandatory minimum of five years if convicted.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Sherri A. Stephan.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006.
Project Safe Childhood is a collaborative effort between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
