Ricky Oneal Wright, Methamphetamine Distribution, Mississippi 2021

WOODVILLE, MS – A Woodville man has been brought to justice after pleading guilty to selling a significant amount of methamphetamine in the local area.

Ricky Oneal Wright, 58, of Woodville, Mississippi, has been charged with possessing with intent to distribute 5 grams or more of methamphetamine, a crime he committed on October 22, 2019.

According to court documents, Wright sold 6.5 grams of pure methamphetamine to an individual on the aforementioned date.

The case was investigated by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Ricky Oneal Wright is scheduled to be sentenced on September 2, 2021, at 10 a.m. and faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 5 years in prison and a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison.
