A violent robbery crew, consisting of brothers Xavier Harris and Ardaries Harris, along with Jordan Fox, terrorized Chicago, robbing or attempting to rob 14 liquor stores, convenience stores, and bars between 2023 and 2024. The crew used stolen cars as getaway vehicles, wore masks and gloves, and brandished firearms, including machine guns, to intimidate their victims. The motive behind the string of robberies is unclear, but the crew’s methods were undoubtedly brazen and calculated.
The crew’s crime spree began on August 24, 2023, with the robbery of Ace’s Liquor and Tap, and continued through May 4, 2024, with the robbery of the Irish Nobleman Pub. Other targeted businesses included A&R Food Mart, Central Extra Value Food and Liquor, Buchanas Food & Liquor, and several others. The crew’s use of firearms and stolen cars made them a formidable and elusive target for law enforcement.
After a five-week trial, a federal jury convicted the three defendants of conspiracy, robbery, and firearm offenses. The jury found that Jordan Fox brandished firearms in 9 of the robberies, Ardaries Harris in 8, and Xavier Harris in 3. The convictions carry a maximum sentence of life in prison, a fitting punishment for the crew’s violent and destructive actions.
The investigation and prosecution of the case were likely the result of a collaborative effort between local and federal law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and ATF. The conviction of the robbery crew serves as a testament to the dedication and perseverance of these agencies in bringing violent criminals to justice.
