In a major blow to the Blackfeet Indian Reservation’s fight against narcotics, Robbie Wayne Racine, 31, has been sentenced to four years and eight months in prison for methamphetamine trafficking. This harsh punishment comes after Racine pleaded guilty in January to possession with intent to distribute meth.
The case against Racine was brought to light in the spring of 2023, when he was stopped multiple times by law enforcement for traffic violations. During these stops, officers discovered evidence of his involvement in meth distribution, including over 15 grams of the substance on one co-defendant and a safe containing over 170 grams of meth in a concealed book on Racine himself.
Racine was arrested alongside his co-defendant in April 2023, and subsequently, a search of the vehicle yielded evidence of distribution, including baggies and a digital scale. A month later, Racine was driving a different vehicle when he was stopped again by Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services for a traffic violation and was arrested once more. This time, law enforcement found a scale in his pocket and seized the meth.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office prosecuted the case, with assistance from the Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services, FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, and Glacier County Sheriff’s Office.
