Robert Andrewsh, Jr., Methamphetamine Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2021

SCRANTON, Pennsylvania – In a shocking turn of events, Robert Andrewsh, Jr., a 26-year-old man from Dunmore, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 96 months’ imprisonment for methamphetamine trafficking.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, Andrewsh was found guilty of possessing with intent to distribute between 150 and 500 grams of high-purity methamphetamine in November and December 2019.

In addition to the methamphetamine charges, Andrewsh also admitted to possessing firearms in connection with his offense.

The matter was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Scranton Police Department, and the City of Carbondale Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Phillip J. Caraballo prosecuted the case.

Andrewsh’s sentence is a result of his guilty plea, which was accepted by United States District Court Judge Malachy E. Mannion on June 23, 2021.

The case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and making neighborhoods safer. The program brings together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to develop effective, locally-based strategies to reduce violent crime.

This case is also part of Project Guardian, the Department of Justice’s signature initiative to reduce gun violence and enforce federal firearms laws.

Robert Andrewsh, Jr. will serve 96 months’ imprisonment and five years of supervised release for his role in methamphetamine trafficking.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania thanked the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Scranton Police Department, and the City of Carbondale Police Department for their assistance in the case.
