BUFFALO, N.Y. – A Buffalo man has been sentenced for his role in a cocaine distribution ring. Robert Brown, also known as ‘Pee Wee,’ was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribute cocaine.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Wei Xiang, the defendant bought quantities of cocaine from a co-defendant between June 2013 and July 2014. Brown then re-distributed the cocaine from his residence in Buffalo as well as from his store, ‘Pee Wee’s Variety Store.’
The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force.
Brown, 54, was sentenced to time served and 1 year of supervised release by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
The case serves as a reminder of the ongoing fight against drug trafficking in Western New York.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York continues to work closely with law enforcement agencies to bring those responsible for distributing cocaine to justice.
