Robert Von Wilson, Methamphetamine Trafficking, West Virginia 2023

A 24-year-old Ohio man has been sentenced to 87 months in federal prison for his role in a massive methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy that saw large quantities of the drug shipped from Akron, Ohio, and sold in Huntington, West Virginia.

United States Attorney Mike Stuart announced that Robert Von Wilson was sentenced to 87 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine.

According to court documents, Wilson participated in a conspiracy that utilized a residence at 1235 25th Street in Huntington to store methamphetamine after it was shipped from Akron.

On June 6, 2019, investigators executed a search warrant at the residence, where they seized over 1.7 kilograms of methamphetamine, which was later determined to be 100% pure.

Wilson, who previously pled guilty, admitted that he possessed the methamphetamine and intended to distribute it in the Huntington area.

The joint investigation was spearheaded by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and involved several other law enforcement agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Violent Crime and Drug Task Force West, and the West Virginia State Police.

Wilson’s sentence was imposed by United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers, with Assistant United States Attorney Joseph F. Adams handling the prosecution.
