BRONX, New York – In a shocking turn of events, Robert Wilson, a/k/a ‘RO,’ a/k/a ‘Sin,’ a member of the Stevenson Commons Crew, was sentenced to 37 years in prison for his involvement in a racketeering conspiracy, narcotics conspiracy, and a firearms offense.

According to authorities, Wilson’s crimes date back to 2018, when he participated in a robbery that resulted in serious physical injuries to the victim. The following year, Wilson was involved in a shooting that resulted in the death of Nelson Ramos in the vicinity of 800 Soundview Avenue in the Bronx, New York.

Wilson, 31, of the Bronx, New York, previously pled guilty to participating in a racketeering conspiracy, narcotics conspiracy, and a firearms offense. Co-defendants Kevin Crosby, a/k/a ‘Sama,’ and Marquis Yohannis, a/k/a ‘DG,’ were previously sentenced to 25 years and over 24 years in prison, respectively.

The case against Wilson was led by the Office’s Violent and Organized Crime Unit, with Assistant U.S. Attorneys Andrew K. Chan, Justin V. Rodriguez, Emily A. Johnson, and Jun Xiang handling the prosecution.

U.S. Attorney Damian Williams praised the outstanding investigative work of the New York City Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, and the New York City Department of Investigation.

In addition to the prison term, Judge Jesse M. Furman sentenced Wilson to five years of supervised release.

Wilson’s crimes have left a lasting impact on the community, and his sentencing serves as a reminder of the severe consequences of gang-related violence.
