Rochester Woman Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography Production
Rebecca Wilson, 31, of Rochester, NY, has pleaded guilty to producing child pornography involving an 8-year-old and a 5-year-old child.
According to court documents, between June and August 2018, Wilson engaged in an ongoing pattern of sexual abuse, subjecting the 8-year-old to multiple instances of sexual acts, while producing multiple videos and images of those sexual acts.
Between January and April 2020, Wilson engaged in another ongoing pattern of sexual abuse, subjecting the 5-year-old to multiple instances of sexual acts, during which she once again produced video and images.
The videos and images were produced at the request of James Oliver Young and transferred to him via Facebook messenger. Charges remain pending against Young.
U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced the guilty plea, stating that the charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison, a maximum of 30 years, and a $250,000 fine.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Melissa M. Marangola handled the case, which was the result of an investigation by the New York State Police and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 14, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. before Chief Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr.
