ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Brandon Washington, also known as B Mack, 40, of Rochester, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute 100 kilograms or more of marijuana, as well as possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The charges carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and could see Washington spending his life behind bars.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Douglas E. Gregory revealed that Washington’s conspiracy spanned from May 2021 to July 21, 2022. He was the mastermind behind drug houses on St. Paul and Sixth Streets in Rochester, where he stored marijuana and paid individuals to distribute it. His operations were equipped with firearms.
Rochester Police executed a series of searches resulting in significant seizures. On July 14, they seized marijuana, scales, ledgers, and cash at Washington’s residence on St. Paul Street. Subsequent searches yielded more drugs, cash, and firearms at addresses on Sixth and Laser Streets.
The investigation was part of a broader probe into the murder of Rochester Police Investigator Anthony Mazurkewicz and the assault on Investigator Sino Seng, both victims of shootings in the line of duty. Kelvin Vickers was convicted for Mazurkewicz’s murder, while other co-conspirators were sentenced for their roles in the July 20, 2021, double homicide.
The case is a result of a joint investigation by the Rochester Police Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Washington’s sentencing hearing is set for December 18, 2025.
