Ryan Devin Ravensborg, a 20-year-old Redby man, is behind bars after being charged with assault in a Minnesota federal court. According to reports, Ravensborg assaulted two people with a metal object on the Red Lake Indian Reservation.

On May 26, 2013, Ravensborg allegedly used a metal object to attack the two victims. One of the victims suffered a depressed skull fracture and intracranial bleeding, while the second victim required staples and a linear skull fracture due to a laceration on his scalp.

Ravensborg has been charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault resulting in serious bodily injury. If convicted, he faces a potential maximum penalty of ten years in prison on each count.

A grand jury indicted Ravensborg on July 23, 2013. The indictment was unsealed following his initial appearance in federal court. Ravensborg is presumed innocent until he pleads guilty or is proven guilty at trial.
