Two Chinese nationals, Dong Han, 52, and Yinhua Yang, 49, are behind bars after a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy was busted in Saipan. Han and Yang were sentenced to 36 months imprisonment each for their roles in the crime.
According to investigators, Han was a key player in the operation, selling methamphetamine to a cooperating defendant on multiple occasions. He worked with Yang, who managed the Smile Bar in Saipan’s Paseo de Marianas.
Law enforcement monitored a meeting at Smile Bar in April 2025 where Han offered to sell methamphetamine. On May 9, 2025, the cooperating defendant met with Han and Yang, providing $1,000 for the drug. Yang directed the defendant to retrieve the 10.3 grams of methamphetamine packaged inside a cigarette pack near a stairwell.
Han, a lawful permanent resident married to a US citizen, and Yang are also facing one year of supervised release, 50 hours of community service, and a $100 special assessment fee.
