Rodas, a convicted felon, couldn’t possess firearms. But that didn’t stop him from storing a stolen handgun at his alleged meth and fentanyl lab. When agents searched the property, they found evidence of large-scale trafficking, including a stash of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
This is just one of many cases in recent weeks where the DEA and its partners have taken down North Florida’s most notorious drug traffickers. Rodas now faces 13 years behind bars for his crimes.
U.S. Attorney John P. Heekin hailed the successful prosecution, saying it was another win for the citizens of the Northern District of Florida. Heekin emphasized his office’s commitment to dismantling the drug trafficking rings that have plagued the community.
