A 48-year-old Florida man is facing up to 40 years in prison for peddling meth, coke, and crack in Perry, a small town in the state’s north. Nicholas Michael Freeman was hit with a federal indictment for possession with intent to distribute the illicit substances. The DEA and the Perry Police Department cooked up the case.
Freeman’s arraignment went down in federal court, where he’s set to face a jury trial on June 15, 2026, at 8:15 am. If convicted, he’s looking at five years to life behind bars.
The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide crackdown on cartels and transnational crime organizations. The initiative has the full weight of the Department of Justice behind it, and it’s aimed at rooting out violent crime and protecting communities.
