According to court documents, between May and December 2019, Alvin sold multiple ounces of cocaine to a confidential informant in Hammond. The investigation, led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Hammond Police Department, resulted in a search warrant being executed on Alvin’s residence in December 2019.

Alvin’s guilty plea to possessing with intent to distribute cocaine and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime was announced by Acting United States Attorney Tina L. Nommay.

The court also ordered Alvin to serve three years of supervised release following his prison sentence. This case marks the latest in a string of high-profile narcotics trafficking cases in the region.
