In a disturbing case that has left the community reeling, 36-year-old Samuel Flores de Dios, an illegal alien from Mexico, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for producing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The heinous crime was committed in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where Flores de Dios repeatedly abused a minor victim, who was under 13 years old.
According to court documents, Flores de Dios brought the victim to his residence on multiple occasions between February 2025 and March 2025, where he subjected her to sexual abuse. In a twisted display of depravity, he recorded the acts using cellular telephones positioned around his bedroom. The recordings were discovered by investigators, who also found videos of a second adult male abusing the victim on one of Flores de Dios’s phones.
The investigation into Flores de Dios’s crimes was a collaborative effort between the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office. The case was prosecuted by Trial Attorney Angelica Carrasco of the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section.
Flores de Dios’s sentence is a stark reminder of the severity of child sex crimes. In addition to serving 30 years in prison, he will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. The community can take some solace in knowing that justice has been served, but the true victims of this crime will never be the same.
As the investigation into this case continues, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. The case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance in protecting our children from predators like Flores de Dios.
In a statement, Assistant Attorney General A. Tysen Duva of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division said, “The production and distribution of child sexual abuse material is a heinous crime that causes irreparable harm to its victims. We will continue to work tirelessly to bring perpetrators like Samuel Flores de Dios to justice.”
Flores de Dios’s sentence is a testament to the dedication of law enforcement agencies and prosecutors who work tirelessly to protect our children from predators.
