Scott Morrill, Possession of Child Pornography, Massachusetts 2025

Scott Morrill, a 52-year-old man from Uxbridge, Massachusetts, has been charged with possession of child pornography. According to federal authorities, Morrill was arrested on April 7, 2025, and remains in federal custody.

The charges against Morrill stem from a search of his residence, during which investigators allegedly found images and videos depicting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on his laptop.

Morrill was on federal supervised release at the time of the alleged offense, having been convicted of distributing child pornography in 2013. He was sentenced to five years in federal prison for that crime.

The charge of possession of child pornography carries a sentence of not less than 10 years and up to 20 years in prison, as well as a minimum of five years and up to life of supervised release. Morrill also faces a fine of up to $250,000.

The investigation into Morrill’s activities was led by Homeland Security Investigations in New England, with assistance from the Uxbridge Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kristen Noto is prosecuting the case.

Morrill’s case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The program was launched in May 2006 by the U.S. Attorney’s Offices and the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section of the Department of Justice.
