Sean Robinson, Violent Daytime Robberies, New York 2014
Manhattan, NY – A notorious crime lord has been brought to justice, sentenced to 20 years in prison for leading a violent robbery crew that terrorized high-end jewelry and watch stores across the Northeast.
Sean Robinson, the mastermind behind the heinous crimes, pleaded guilty in May 2014 to participating in the robbery conspiracy. The crew, which included 10 other defendants, carried out a series of violent robberies between July 1, 2013, and January 30, 2014, resulting in over $1 million in stolen luxury watches.
According to court documents, the crew used violence to carry out their scheme, including a gunpoint robbery in broad daylight at a Brooklyn jewelry store where the store owner was shot. The crew also targeted stores in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Virginia.
The investigation, led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Interstate Robbery Apprehension Team and the New York City Police Department, resulted in charges against 11 defendants. Two members of the conspiracy, Allen Williams and Terrell Ratliff, have previously been sentenced, with Williams receiving 108 months in prison and Ratliff receiving 33 months.
