A Fayette County man has been charged with sex trafficking a minor, according to a federal indictment.
Sean Ryan McKenzie, 37, of Perryopolis, Pennsylvania, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on seven counts of sex trafficking a minor.
The indictment alleges that McKenzie used, persuaded, induced, enticed, and coerced a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing such conduct on multiple occasions, including June 5, 2020, December 13, 2020, and June 8, 2021.
Additionally, the indictment alleges that McKenzie knowingly possessed visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, including videos and images in computer graphic and digital files, on March 1, 2022.
The law provides for a maximum total sentence of life in prison, a fine of $1,750,000, or both.
Assistant United States Attorney Heidi M. Grogan is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.
Homeland Security Investigations – Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania State Police conducted the investigation leading to the indictment.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
