Shangi Jin, et al., Credit Card Counterfeiting, Louisiana 2012

Three men, Shanji Jin, 38, Hong Xi, 63, and Yuan Chunshan, aka ‘Guang Li’, 43, have been caught using counterfeit credit cards to steal over $103,624 from Louisiana casinos.

The men, who were arrested on November 24, 2012 at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, used the counterfeit cards to get cash advances at various casinos across the state, including the L’Auberge Casino in Lake Charles, El Dorado Casino in Shreveport, and the Horseshoe Casino in Shreveport.

According to court documents, Jin took $41,934.55, Xi took $42,394.26, and Li took $19,296, bringing the total amount stolen to $103,624.81.

The defendants face up to 10 years in prison for Conspiracy to Use Unauthorized Access Devices and a $250,000 fine.

Sentencing for the defendants will take place at a later date.

The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Secret Service-Baton Rouge Agency and the Louisiana State Police, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Howard Parker prosecuting the case.
