Former Mississippi Corrections Officer Charged with Beating Inmate

A former Mississippi corrections officer has been hit with a federal indictment for using excessive force against an inmate at the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility.

Sharalyn McClain, 28, a former Mississippi Department of Corrections officer, has been charged with a felony civil rights offense for her role in the assault of the inmate.
