Methamphetamine Dealer Sentenced to 10 Years in Federal Prison

In a significant blow to the illicit drug trade, Shawn Curtis Robinson, Jr., a 33-year-old resident of Jacksonville, Florida, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for distributing over 50 grams of pure methamphetamine.

According to court documents, Robinson’s reign of methamphetamine distribution began in March 2021, when he started selling the substance to an undercover detective. The laboratory testing revealed an alarmingly high purity level of 100%, with one sample yielding a staggering 100% purity.

Roughly 250 grams of pure methamphetamine were distributed, with Robinson being held accountable for nearly a quarter kilogram of the highly potent substance.

This case is a result of the tireless efforts of the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, who all contributed to the investigation leading to Robinson’s sentencing.

The prosecution, led by Assistant United States Attorneys Laura Taylor and Frank Talbot, ensured that justice was served in this case.

Shawn Curtis Robinson, Jr. pleaded guilty on December 28, 2021, marking the beginning of the end for his illicit drug empire. The lengthy prison sentence is a testament to the dedication of law enforcement agencies and the prosecutors who worked tirelessly to bring Robinson to justice.
