WICHITA, KAN – Robert Pitya Dickson Pleads Guilty to Sex Crimes
A South Carolina man has been brought to justice for his heinous crimes against a 13-year-old Kansas girl. Robert Pitya Dickson, 48, of Fort Mill, S.C., pleaded guilty to two counts of producing child pornography in a federal court.
According to Acting U.S. Attorney Tom Beall, Dickson communicated with the girl over the internet and persuaded her to send him sexual images of herself. In March 2014, he traveled to meet the girl and engaged in sex acts with her, which he recorded and transported back to South Carolina.
Dickson’s crimes are a stark reminder of the dangers of online predators and the importance of vigilance in protecting our children. His guilty plea is a major victory for justice and a testament to the tireless efforts of law enforcement agencies.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Hart worked closely with the FBI to bring Dickson to justice. Their dedication and expertise have made a significant impact in keeping our communities safe.
Dickson is set to be sentenced on July 11, with both parties recommending a 300-month sentence in federal prison. This sentence is a fitting punishment for his egregious crimes and serves as a warning to others who would seek to harm our children.
As a society, we must remain vigilant in our efforts to protect our children from predators like Dickson. By working together, we can create a safer and more just world for all.
The case serves as a reminder that the FBI and federal prosecutors are committed to bringing sex offenders to justice and protecting our children from harm. Their tireless efforts have made a significant impact in keeping our communities safe.
