Southwest Honkeys Gang Member Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison
Nathaniel R. Eisenhour, a 30-year-old member of the Southwest Honkeys prison gang, has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison without parole for operating a methamphetamine conspiracy from his prison cell.
Eisenhour’s sentencing was handed down by U.S. District Judge M. Douglas Harpool after he was found guilty of participating in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine from Dec. 15, 2016, to April 20, 2017. Despite being incarcerated in the Greene County jail or the Missouri Department of Corrections for almost the entire period of the conspiracy, Eisenhour continued to communicate with associates to sell methamphetamine and collect money for past drug debts.
Eisenhour was arrested on Dec. 21, 2015, on an outstanding parole violation warrant. While incarcerated, he instructed one of his associates to take the money from drug sales to a family member. On Jan. 30, 2017, federal agents seized $31,800 from the family member who was holding the money for Eisenhour. In a jail call, Eisenhour had previously authorized another family member to obtain $200 from that same stash.
The total of $32,000, including the seized amount and the $200 that was removed before the seizure, represented approximately 2.2 kilograms in methamphetamine sales, based on the price Eisenhour discussed with one of the associates who distributed for him after his arrest.
This case was prosecuted by Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Josephine L. Stockard. It was investigated by the Springfield, Mo., Police Department, the Ozark, Mo., Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Eisenhour’s sentencing serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of organized crime and the importance of law enforcement’s efforts to disrupt and dismantle these networks. The 25-year sentence imposed on Eisenhour is a significant blow to the Southwest Honkeys gang and a testament to the dedication of law enforcement officials who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.
The case against Eisenhour highlights the brazen nature of some criminals, who will stop at nothing to continue their illicit activities, even while incarcerated. Eisenhour’s actions demonstrate a callous disregard for the law and a willingness to exploit the vulnerabilities of his associates, all in pursuit of a quick profit.
The Grimy Times commends the hard work and dedication of law enforcement officials who brought Eisenhour to justice. Their tireless efforts have made our communities safer and sent a clear message to those who would seek to engage in organized crime: we will not tolerate it, and we will hold you accountable.
