ST. LOUIS, MO – A St. Louis sheriff has been indicted on five federal felony charges, according to a recent indictment.
The indictment, which was unsealed on April 10, 2024, charges the sheriff with five counts of federal felony charges, including bribery, extortion, and obstruction of justice.
The charges stem from an investigation into allegations of corruption and misconduct within the St. Louis Sheriff’s Department.
The indictment was announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, and the case is being prosecuted by the Public Integrity Section of the Department of Justice.
