Lincoln Man Sentenced to 11 Years for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine
Stacey Vanarsdale, a 37-year-old man from Lincoln, Nebraska, was sentenced to 11 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. On June 6, 2024, Senior United States District Judge John M. Gerrard handed down the sentence in federal court in Lincoln.
According to the evidence, Vanarsdale was involved in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine with his co-defendant, Alphonso Johnson, Jr. On August 10, 2022, the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant at Vanarsdale’s residence, where they found a significant amount of methamphetamine and other illegal narcotics.
The search warrant yielded 365.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine, which was separated into 12-ounce quantity baggies. Investigators also found $217.00 in U.S. currency and other incriminating evidence. Additionally, law enforcement downloaded and reviewed Vanarsdale’s and Johnson’s personal cell phones, revealing text messages that indicated they worked together to distribute drugs.
The lab analysis confirmed that there were approximately 346.35 grams of methamphetamine, with at least 180 grams being actual methamphetamine. Vanarsdale’s co-defendant, Alphonso Johnson, Jr., was previously sentenced to 11 years in prison on March 1, 2024.
Vanarsdale’s sentence includes an 8-year term of supervised release after his release from prison. There is no parole in the federal system. The case was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force.
