Clinton Shane Strable, 36, has been sentenced to 168 months’ imprisonment and 5 years of supervised release for his role in a methamphetamine distribution ring in Oklahoma.
Strable, a resident of Stigler, was found guilty of Possession With Intent To Distribute Methamphetamine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1) and 841(b)(1)(A), in a federal indictment brought against him.
The indictment alleged that on or about September 18, 2018, Strable knowingly and intentionally possessed with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance.
Strable was also sentenced to 37 months’ imprisonment and 3 years of supervised release for Felon In Possession Of Firearm And Ammunition, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 922(g)(1), 924(a)(2) on a separate indictment.
The firearm and ammunition charges stemmed from an incident on April 22, 2018, in which Strable was found to be in possession of firearms and ammunition, despite having been previously convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year.
The cases were investigated by the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Haskell County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
United States Attorney Brian J. Kuester praised the strong working relationships between law enforcement agencies in the Eastern District, stating that federal prosecution can be a powerful tool in the fight against crime.
The cases were presided over by the Honorable Ronald A. White, U.S. District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee. Assistant United States Attorney Clay Compton represented the United States in the prosecution of Strable.
